Suffolk's State Senators Vote NO to NYS Health Commissioner, Dr. Mary Bassett because of her radical policy positions

This week, Republican State Senators opposed the confirmation of NYS Health Commissioner, Dr. Mary Bassett, because of her support of radical policies that will endanger our children and families.

As Health Commissioner, Dr. Bassett would be the key health policy advisor to NY Governor Kathy Hochul.

This is the same Dr. Bassett that has publicly supported the decriminalization of drugs - including cocaine and heroin. She also supports creating “injection sites” with our tax dollars to be used by intravenous drug addicts to shoot up.

And Dr. Bassett wants to mandate COVID vaccination for ALL New York students.

Suffolk's Republican state Senators joined their colleagues in opposing Dr. Mary Bassett, who was confirmed on straight party lines (43 Democrats voted yes and 20 Republicans voted no.)
