STATEMENT BY SUFFOLK COUNTY REPUBLICAN CHAIRMAN JESSE GARCIA AND SUFFOLK COUNTY DEMOCRAT CHAIRMAN RICH SCHAFFER

As Chairmen of the two major political parties in Suffolk County, we believe it is critical that we address the recent news story regarding the impersonation of County Board of Elections officials in an attempt to intimidate voters. The individuals employing these tactics are NEITHER employees nor representatives of the State or local Boards of Elections and are, in fact committing a crime by representing themselves as such. Voting is the most important right we have to select our government representatives and ensure our freedoms and liberties, and we find any acts of voter suppression to be intolerable.

A message from Ed Romaine about September 11, 2001

Today, we solemnly remember the September 11th, 2001 events and those we tragically lost at the hands of evil through acts of war on American soil. As New Yorkers, we possess deep and personal ties to the events of 9/11, and we must also remember the brave first responders who bravely sacrificed their lives that day and those who worked tirelessly in its aftermath, many of whom became sick, died, and those who continue to suffer to this day.

Romaine Out-raises Hedge Fund Owner Opponent

MEDFORD, NY - Suffolk County Executive candidate Ed Romaine has outraised his hedge fund-owning Democratic opponent, showing over $1.5 million in cash on hand as of July 15, according to New York State Board of Election Records. Romaine entered the County Executive race in March of this year.
